Parents in the Play Structure at Off The Wall Kids — Climbing With Your Kids in London Ontario

Am I allowed in there — or do I have to watch from the bench?"
**You are allowed. We encourage it** — especially with toddlers and younger kids who need a hand on the structures.
This guide is for parents wondering how **climbing with your kids** works at Off The Wall Kids (**539 First St, East London**, Argyle near Fanshawe College) — one of the most common questions we get about **things to do in London** at an indoor playground built for families, not just children.

"Parent-supervised — what that actually means"
We are a **parent-supervised facility**. A supervising adult **18 or older** must stay on site and remain responsible for the children they brought. Staff supervise the **building**, not your individual child.
Our staff are required to **contact police** if a child has been left on site without a proper supervisor.
Unsupervised minors cannot enter on their own.
"Can adults go through the whole structure?"
**Yes.** Our play structure is designed so parents can move through **almost all levels**. There is **no official height restriction**, but clearance on levels is roughly **five feet**.
If you are taller than that, expect to **crouch or crawl** in sections. **Head injury is a real risk** if you stand up where clearance is low — go slow and watch overhead openings.
Wear **socks** like everyone past admission. **Grip socks** are strongly recommended for traction.
"Where to be extra mindful"
**Donut slide (tube slide):** follow posted rules — **one person at a time**, age guidance on signage, **use at your own caution**. It is exclusive to our London location and popular for a reason — wait your turn and coach littles on sitting safely.
**Jumping pillow:** great energy release — please be mindful of **other children** already bouncing. We see recurring issues with adults or bigger kids colliding with smaller ones because nobody looked before jumping on.
**Ballistics arena** and **ninja obstacle course:** older kids love these zones — stay aware of cross-traffic when escorting toddlers through busier areas.
"Why we want you in there"
Many indoor playgrounds push parents to the perimeter. Our **U-shaped layout** already gives strong **sightlines** from the eating area — but some littles need you **beside them** on the first climb, the first slide, or the first time on the jumping pillow.
That is normal. That is why the structure allows adult access.
"Socks, shoes, and washrooms"
**Socks-only** past admission. Shoes stay in the coat/shoe area. You may wear **shoes into the washroom** but must put **socks back on** before re-entering the play floor.
**Shoe covers** at admission for adults with mobility needs — ask staff.
"When parents should stay on the sidelines"
If your kids are older, independent, and you can see them clearly from the eating area, you do not have to crawl every tunnel. Many parents camp with coffee and a sightline across the **donut slide**, party hallway, concession, bathrooms, and front door — all from one seat.
